KDLT TV, located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was desirous of an in-house, custom-built MySQL database with custom PHP scripting to manage their televised elections ticker.  KDLT needed a custom interface for the database that would parse the statewide elections website as well as provide the capability to add in manual races to the database.  The information extracted from the MySQL database would be written to a text file with precise specifications.  This text file would be used by televising software called Dekocast to pinpoint and plot the location of the election information precisely on the television screen.  This text file would be updated every few minutes, thereby updating the information being broadcast on the television screen.

Designs by CM created this custom work for KDLT and installed all the work on an in-house Windows 2000 server, which was setup with MySQL and PHP.  The custom work done was a success and the General Elections 2006 was televised from approximately 8:45 pm on November 7, 2006 until 9:00 a.m. on November 8, 2006.
